Mobile Engineer (React Native)

About the role

Twipe is looking for a passionate Mobile Engineer to join its fast‑growing team in Leuven. You will design and develop high‑quality React Native applications that power digital editions for leading newspaper publishers across Europe and the US.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build React Native apps with clean, seamless user interfaces.
• Maintain and improve existing applications by diagnosing and fixing bugs.
• Leverage native APIs for deep platform integration.
• Integrate third‑party APIs to extend functionality.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in mobile development.
• 2 years of experience with TypeScript and a willingness to work with React Native.
• Strong understanding of software design principles.
• Solid foundation in HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with testing frameworks and front‑end debugging tools.
