Mid-Level Legal Counsel – Investment Funds

About the role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Legal Counsel to join a fast‑growing, internationally recognised financial services organisation in Luxembourg. The role offers exposure to complex legal and regulatory matters within the investment funds industry and the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, client contracts and service provider arrangements.
• Provide legal and regulatory advice on investment funds and financial services activities.
• Support governance, compliance and data‑protection initiatives across the organisation.
• Collaborate with operational, risk, oversight and onboarding teams on legal and regulatory issues.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.
• Assist in the implementation and enhancement of internal policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Contribute to strategic projects and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Admission to the Bar in Luxembourg or another EU jurisdiction.
• LL.M. in Law or equivalent postgraduate legal qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience in a law firm, management company, asset manager, financial institution or Big Four environment.
• Strong expertise in investment funds and financial services regulation.
• Excellent command of English and strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Autonomous, proactive and solutions‑oriented mindset.
