Microsoft Business Intelligence Expert – MS Fabric

About the role

Devoteam is seeking a Microsoft Business Intelligence Expert with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric to design, develop, and deploy end‑to‑end analytics solutions. The role focuses on turning raw data into actionable insights that support data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and models using OneLake, Data Factory and Synapse Data Engineering.
• Develop data warehousing solutions with Synapse Data Warehouse and create Power BI reports and dashboards integrated with Fabric datasets.
• Implement data governance, security and compliance, leveraging Microsoft Purview where appropriate.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical BI solutions.
• Utilise real‑time analytics, Data Activator and Lakehouse architecture for advanced and predictive insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Fabric ecosystem.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a BI Developer, Data Engineer or similar role focusing on Microsoft technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch.

• Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, Synapse Data Warehouse)
• Power BI (data modeling, DAX, report development)
• SQL and query optimisation
• Python or Scala for data manipulation
• Azure services (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database)
• Data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview
• Version control with Git
• Agile development methodologies
