MES Developer

About the role

You will help shape the digitalisation of production environments by developing, maintaining and enhancing our custom MES solution, Shopfloor Control. Working within the IT Manufacturing team, you will deliver high‑quality software that supports smart manufacturing and data‑driven operations on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance applications using .NET (C#), Angular and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Translate functional requirements and user stories into robust, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects and other developers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (2‑week sprints, refinements, reviews and demos).
• Design and integrate with shop‑floor systems such as PLC, SCADA, OPC and MQTT.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, security and maintainability.
• Contribute to modernising software architecture, CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑native practices.
• Explore and apply AI technologies to accelerate development.
• Support testing activities and perform root‑cause analysis of issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with .NET (C#), Angular and preferably Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts.
• Interest in modern software development practices (cloud‑native, service‑oriented architecture, CI/CD).
• Curiosity about AI applications in software development.
• Passion for manufacturing environments and industrial processes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (French a plus).
