Medior CAD Drafter – Mechanical & Thermal Design

About the role

Dekimo Experts is seeking a Medior CAD Drafter to support client projects in mechanical and thermal design. You will work on-site at client locations, creating detailed engineering drawings and providing technical support for complex industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design 3D models and produce detailed 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Mechanical.
• Prepare reference, general arrangement, detail, and isometric drawings for manufacturing.
• Conduct on‑site surveys and provide technical support at client facilities.
• Request supplier quotes and participate in internal technical reviews.
• Adapt designs for harsh conditions such as high temperature, corrosion, heavy loads, and severe industrial settings.
• Update technical documentation and deliver regular progress reports to management.

Required profile

• Solid experience in mechanical design, sheet‑metal fabrication, welded assemblies, ductwork and piping systems.
• Ability to work independently on design studies and adapt quickly to complex projects.
• Fluency in French (native) and good working knowledge of technical English.

Required skills

• Autodesk Inventor (expert level)
• AutoCAD Mechanical (expert level)
• Excel for managing bills of materials
• Knowledge of continuous furnaces (nice to have)
• Mechanical design, sheet‑metal fabrication, welded assemblies, ductwork, piping systems
