Medior Buyer – Indirect Spend (Project Procurement)

About the role

Meogroup is seeking a Medior Buyer to lead indirect‑spend procurement projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, turning procurement into a strategic value creator and driving cost‑consciousness and innovation across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute category strategies that align with business needs and sustainability goals.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes (RFx), from market analysis to contract award, ensuring value creation and total cost of ownership optimisation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal clients, translating their needs into clear specifications.
• Negotiate and manage contracts in line with internal policies and category strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance, drive continuous improvement and mitigate risks.
• Track market trends and supplier innovations to keep the organisation ahead of the curve.
• Contribute to procurement excellence by improving tools, processes and ways of working.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in project procurement, preferably within indirect spend (marketing, HR, IT, fleet, etc.).
• Strong background in project management and sourcing methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to lead RFx processes autonomously.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in English with a good command of Dutch or French.
