Medior Buyer – Indirect Spend

About the role

As a Medior Buyer focused on indirect spend, you will transform procurement into a strategic value creator for Meogroup. You will act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, driving cost‑consciousness, innovation, and sustainability across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute category strategies that align with business needs and sustainability goals.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes (RFx) from market analysis to contract award, ensuring value creation and total cost of ownership (TCO) optimisation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal clients, translating requirements into clear specifications and challenging assumptions.
• Negotiate and manage contracts in line with internal policies and category strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
• Track market trends and supplier innovations to keep the organisation ahead of the curve.
• Contribute to procurement excellence by improving tools, processes, and ways of working.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in project procurement, preferably within indirect spend categories such as marketing, contact centres, fleet, HR, or financial services.
• Strong background in project management and sourcing methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to lead RFx processes autonomously.
• Skilled in stakeholder management and building internal partnerships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, persuasive and influential.
• Strong analytical mindset with expertise in cost analysis and supplier evaluation.
• Fluent in English; good command of Dutch or French is essential.
