Medical Information Officer

About the role

The Medical Information Officer will serve as the primary contact for medical information requests from healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and internal colleagues. You will ensure the delivery of accurate, balanced, and non‑promotional scientific information while supporting patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage enquiries received via email, phone, digital platforms, and field teams.
• Provide scientifically accurate information within agreed timelines.
• Document and track enquiries in line with procedures and local regulations.
• Monitor daily intake channels and route contacts to appropriate functions.
• Support review of promotional and non‑promotional materials from scientific and regulatory perspectives.
• Identify and report safety‑related information and product quality complaints.
• Assist audits and inspections through precise documentation.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Patient Safety, Quality Assurance, and other cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in pharmacy, biomedical sciences, life sciences, nursing, or a related scientific discipline.
• Fluency in at least two of Dutch, French, and English.
• Understanding of the biopharmaceutical environment and healthcare system.
• Knowledge of safety reporting and product quality processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.
• Strong ethics, integrity, and commitment to patient safety.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools, databases, and office software.
• Experience with knowledge‑management systems (preferred).
