Medical Advisor – Lung Cancer (Belgium & Luxembourg)

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Medical Advisor specialized in lung cancer to support its portfolio across Belgium and Luxembourg. The role bridges scientific expertise with strategic execution, ensuring that therapies are optimally understood and applied in clinical practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs) and healthcare professionals.
• Provide balanced, non‑promotional scientific exchange aligned with therapeutic area strategy.
• Stay current on clinical and scientific advances through literature review, congress attendance, and expert engagement.
• Capture actionable insights from scientific dialogue and feed them into brand and medical strategy.
• Contribute scientific input to cross‑functional brand teams (Medical, Marketing, Sales, Market Access).
• Lead medical affairs projects, manage timelines, budgets, and KPIs.
• Drive real‑world evidence generation and organize advisory boards, expert meetings, and scientific events.

Required profile

• Medical degree or PhD in a relevant life‑science discipline.
• Experience in oncology, preferably lung cancer, within pharma or academic settings.
• Proven ability to engage with external experts and translate scientific data into strategic initiatives.
• Strong project management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
