Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will work from idea to production, creating robust, cost‑efficient mechanical components within a collaborative R&D environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design plastic and metal parts such as housings, heatsinks, and brackets.
• Perform tolerance calculations and mechanical analyses.
• Consider thermal, mechanical and environmental influences during design.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, sourcing and quality teams.
• Coordinate with external partners and suppliers.
• Support the industrialisation of new products.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in industrial design or a related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical design, preferably with plastics and/or metals.
• Strong communicator comfortable working with diverse stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented, solution‑driven and able to manage multiple projects.
• Interest in leading a small team is a plus.

Required skills

• 3D CAD (NX preferred).
• Tolerance calculation techniques.
• Mechanical analysis methods.
• Knowledge of materials, tolerances and manufacturing processes.
