Maintenance Technician – 2‑Shift Production (Gijzegem)

About the role

For our client in Gijzegem, we are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to work in a two‑shift system (6 am‑2 pm / 2 pm‑10 pm). The role involves ensuring optimal operation of injection molding machinery and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, peripheral equipment, and testing systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems quickly and efficiently.
• Independently execute small technical improvement projects.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost machine performance and reliability.
• Help maintain a safe working environment and comply with environmental regulations.
• Contribute to housekeeping and cleanliness standards in the workshop and production areas.

Required profile

• Technical education (A2 level, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s in Electromechanics, Electricity, Automation, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of injection molding machines is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of PLC controls (training provided internally).
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
• Background in a manufacturing environment with preventive maintenance is a strong asset.
• Good command of Dutch and ability to read technical manuals in English and/or German.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Proactive attitude, able to work independently and suggest ideas to prevent breakdowns.
• Service‑minded, collaborative, and clear communicator with production teams.
