Linux Engineer

About the role

Uni Systems is seeking a Linux Engineer to join its growing UniQue team. You will be responsible for the administration, automation, and security of RHEL‑based servers while supporting virtualised infrastructure and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot RHEL servers.
• Automate system administration tasks using Ansible and Python.
• Monitor server health, investigate incidents, and ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain Linux security controls, including firewalls, user access, and system hardening.
• Manage VMware virtual machines and support the underlying Linux infrastructure.
• Work closely with application and infrastructure teams to support deployments and operational activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of Linux server administration experience, primarily on RHEL.
• Strong scripting/programming skills, especially Python.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with Ansible.
• Familiarity with VMware virtualization technologies.
• Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing Linux security measures.
• Possession of a Linux/Unix related certification (e.g., Red Hat Certified System Administrator).
• Advanced English communication skills (C1 level).
