Legal Counsel – SaaS Commercial & Regulatory

About the role

Mobilexpense is seeking a Legal Counsel to act as the primary legal business partner for its fast‑growing SaaS platform. You will support commercial, corporate, and regulatory functions, ensuring that business opportunities are balanced with legal and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain commercial contract templates (MSA, reseller, NDA, PSA, addendums) and negotiate agreements with customers, partners, and suppliers.
• Assess legal, contractual and regulatory risks while advising stakeholders on commercial decisions.
• Develop scalable legal processes, deliver contract‑negotiation training and act as the escalation point for commercial disputes.
• Coordinate corporate housekeeping activities such as board meetings, AGMs, powers of attorney and UBO declarations.
• Collaborate with IP attorneys on trademark matters and support HR with lease and employment‑related queries.
• Manage the legal tech stack, including Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools and e‑signature workflows.
• Monitor EU SaaS‑related regulations (AI Act, Data Act) and translate developments into practical guidance for internal teams.
• Support the Data Protection Officer with DPAs, ROPAs and data‑breach management, and assist compliance initiatives such as whistleblowing and pay‑transparency.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Dutch, French or German is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and communicate effectively with business teams.
• Strong organisational skills and a pragmatic, business‑oriented mindset.

• Proficiency in e‑signature platforms and contract repositories.
