Legal Counsel

About the role

CBTW is seeking a Legal Counsel for its Belgian operations. You will be the primary legal point of contact, providing pragmatic advice that aligns with business objectives while operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to management, supporting commercial activities across contractual, corporate, public and civil law matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage the full lifecycle of contracts with clients, suppliers and partners.
• Provide legal support to HR on Belgian employment law, assist with policy roll‑outs, restructurings and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies, supporting data‑protection, ethics and anti‑corruption programs.
• Manage pre‑litigation and litigation matters, coordinating with external counsel to control costs.
• Structure and improve internal legal processes, develop templates, guidelines and training materials.
• Identify opportunities to automate and digitalise legal workflows, contributing to AI governance and responsible AI use.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law.
• 3–6 years of experience working as a Legal Counsel.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with group stakeholders and external counsel.
