Legal Counsel – Belgium

About the role

CBTW is seeking a Legal Counsel for its Belgian operations. You will be the primary legal point of contact, providing pragmatic advice that aligns with business objectives while driving digital transformation within the legal function.

Key responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to management and business teams on commercial, corporate, public and civil law matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage the full lifecycle of contracts with clients, suppliers and partners.
• Support HR on Belgian employment law, policy roll‑outs, restructurings and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, ethics, anti‑corruption and other internal policies.
• Manage pre‑litigation and litigation matters and coordinate cost‑effective external counsel.
• Structure and improve internal legal processes, develop templates and training materials.
• Identify opportunities to automate, optimize and digitalise legal workflows and contribute to AI governance initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law.
• 3–6 years of experience as a Legal Counsel, preferably with exposure to Belgian law.
