Lecturer in Applied Computer Science – Software Development

About the role

We are seeking an experienced software development professional to join our faculty as a Lecturer in Applied Computer Science. You will teach Java and agent‑assisted development to both Dutch‑language and English‑language students, across daytime and evening programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Dutch and/or English.
• Coach students during projects, internships, and hands‑on exercises.
• Develop, adapt, and occasionally prune learning content and teaching methods.
• Implement flipped‑classroom approaches for evening courses, providing online material and facilitating on‑campus sessions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and educational support staff to ensure high‑quality instruction.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience in software development, particularly with Java.
• Ability to teach and mentor a diverse, international student body.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and/or English.
• Enthusiasm for continuous improvement of curriculum and teaching practices.
