Lead Database Administrator (Oracle, SQL, NoSQL)

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Lead Database Administrator to manage and support enterprise‑grade databases across a wide range of technologies in its Managed Infrastructure Services unit. Based in Brussels, you will ensure databases are secure, highly available and performance‑optimised in both on‑premises and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch and upgrade Oracle, Sybase ASE, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DataStax Cassandra and Couchbase databases.
• Perform daily administration tasks including performance tuning, backup and recovery, storage management and capacity planning.
• Monitor and analyse execution plans using tools such as Oracle AWR/ADDM/ASH, SQL Server Query Store, Profiler and PostgreSQL EXPLAIN ANALYZE.
• Implement and maintain high‑availability and replication solutions (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, SQL Server Always On, Log Shipping, PostgreSQL streaming and logical replication, Cassandra clustering).
• Provide troubleshooting and support for both relational and NoSQL platforms.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience administering enterprise databases listed above.
• Relevant industry‑recognized database certifications or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of database architectures, schemas, tablespaces, keyspaces, buckets and transaction management.
