LA&S Calculations Designer – Electrical Infrastructure

About the role

We are a Belgian engineering consulting firm looking for a Designer LA&S Calculations Engineer to develop lattice structures for high‑voltage electrical infrastructure projects (380 kV, 220 kV, 150 kV, 70 kV and 36 kV). The role works under the guidance of a design engineer and supports both internal teams and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Draw new lattice structures for high‑voltage power lines.
• Develop and research reinforcement plans.
• Prepare production dossiers and technical documentation.
• Support suppliers and internal colleagues in solving execution issues.
• Report progress to experts, managers and internal clients.
• Use 3D design software (Tekla Structures and/or AutoCAD) together with Excel spreadsheets.

Required profile

• Fundamental understanding of 3D modelling.
• Basic training or proven experience as a draftsman, with mandatory experience in Tekla Structures.
• Critical self‑control and attention to detail.
• Experience or knowledge in the steel sector is a plus.
• Familiarity with related software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD 3D.
• Native Dutch and/or French; knowledge of a second language is advantageous.
• Assertive communicator who is customer‑oriented and works well in a team.
