Junior Supply Chain Engineer (V.I.E)

About the role

As a Junior Supply Chain Engineer on a V.I.E contract, you will join ALTEN Belgium’s Brussels team to support client projects across logistics, transport, energy, automotive and other key sectors. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth supply‑chain operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate supply‑chain activities with internal departments and external partners.
• Monitor inventory levels, analyse demand patterns and support replenishment strategies.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Manage supplier relationships to secure timely and cost‑effective procurement.
• Oversee order processing and fulfillment, addressing accuracy or timeliness issues.
• Participate in Kaizen projects to streamline processes and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with logistics, finance and sales teams to align supply‑chain actions with business goals.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in supply‑chain management or a similar role.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and problem‑solving.
• Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
