Junior Software Engineer – Interactive Attractions

About the role

Join Alterface’s young, passionate team to develop the technology behind award‑winning interactive attractions worldwide. As a Junior Software Engineer you will work on the full project lifecycle, from specification to on‑site installation, and help turn imagination into real‑world experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop projects using the proprietary Salto language and Salto™ interactive show‑control environment.
• Manage project planning and on‑site installation tasks within the Salto™ ecosystem.
• Maintain and extend legacy code, adding new features and fixing bugs.
• Design, develop, and implement unit tests and tooling in C# or C++.
• Produce comprehensive technical and installation documentation for internal and external use.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Participate in solution‑focused design peer reviews and code evaluations.
• Support software and maintenance teams during on‑site installations, including up to 20% travel.

Required profile

• Proficiency with source‑control systems such as GIT or SVN.
• Experience in C, C#, and Python development.
• Fluent written and spoken French and English.
• Strong communication skills for direct interaction with clients and partners.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Bonus: experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.
