Junior Project Engineer (Offshore)

About the role

Join a Belgian engineering consulting firm to support the development of an offshore high‑voltage grid that will connect new wind farms in the Princess Elisabeth Windfarm zone. As a Junior Project Engineer you will assist the Island Engineer Lead and Package Manager throughout design, construction and installation phases.

Key responsibilities

• Support or lead small engineering studies (e.g., wave impact on structural elements, environmental studies for Nature Inclusive Design).
• Provide administrative support for Bouwpas access tools and personnel follow‑up.
• Prepare documentation reporting technical conclusions and project management updates.
• Organise team knowledge‑sharing events and lead monthly construction tours for stakeholders.
• Coordinate inputs between third‑party contractors, island lead engineers and other project packages.
• Explain construction methods and progress to visitors and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Engineering Master’s degree (any discipline).
• Highly motivated to contribute to offshore wind and the energy transition.
• Structured, independent work style with a problem‑solving mindset.
• Quick learner with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent in French or Dutch.
• Willingness to undergo offshore training.

Required skills

• Excellent MS Office proficiency.
