Junior IT Support Engineer

About the role

St John's International School is seeking a Junior IT Support Engineer to provide first‑line technical assistance to students, teachers and staff. The role ensures that classroom technology and personal devices remain operational, supporting a seamless learning environment in an international school setting.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to help‑desk tickets, email and in‑person requests, diagnosing hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot classroom equipment such as interactive boards, projectors and AV systems.
• Prepare, configure, deploy and perform routine maintenance on laptops, tablets and desktops for a 1:1 device programme.
• Support core educational platforms (iSams, APSchool, ManageBac) and assist users with login and usage problems.
• Assist the network team in monitoring and maintaining Wi‑Fi and wired connectivity, primarily using Cisco Meraki solutions.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with clear communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced school environment.
• Attention to detail and proactive approach to preventing technology disruptions.
