Junior Associate – Global Loans

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Associate to join our Global Loans team. This is a unique opportunity to work on cross‑border financing transactions, gaining exposure to leveraged finance, real‑estate, infrastructure, structured finance, and debt capital markets within a supportive, intellectually stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers in drafting and reviewing loan agreements, security documents, and related transactional paperwork.
• Conduct legal research on Belgian and international financing regulations.
• Support due‑diligence and document review for complex financing deals.
• Liaise with clients, lenders, and internal stakeholders to gather information and ensure timely delivery of documents.
• Prepare memoranda, briefing notes, and client updates.
• Collaborate closely with the team on debt restructuring and securitisation projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law from a Belgian university; an LL.M (general or banking & finance) is preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in transactional banking and finance within a global or large local law firm.
• Eligible for registration with the Brussels Bar.
• Strong academic record and a keen interest in international finance.

Required skills

• Fluency in English and proficiency in French; Dutch is an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, positive, and energetic approach to client service.
