IT System Administrator – Infrastructure

About the role

We are a leading provider of space‑system solutions seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our technological backbone. You will join a small, dedicated SysAdmin team and report to the Team Lead, working on a mix of on‑site and remote tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, applications and network equipment.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents and act as Level‑2 support for the IT Helpdesk.
• Implement security measures, manage backups, disaster‑recovery and access‑control systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to deploy new technologies and optimise existing infrastructure.
• Document processes, procedures and system configurations.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on system administration experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Linux and Windows desktop/server administration.
• Virtualisation and containerisation technologies.
• Web hosting, email, DNS and storage solutions.
• Networking (IP, routing, switching, firewalls, wireless).
• Network security, traffic/log monitoring, IDS/IPS, VPN.
• Active Directory, PKI, MFA.
• Scripting with Bash and Python.
• Cloud platforms and tools: Microsoft 365, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, load balancers.
