IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our team in Rumst, Belgium for an initial three‑month assignment, with the possibility to extend up to one year. The role combines hands‑on hardware work, desktop and server support, and high‑touch assistance for conference‑room and audio‑visual equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, peripherals and software according to established standards.
• Manage inventory, image laptops and desktops, and handle printer administration.
• Provide on‑site support for conference rooms, audio‑visual systems and vendor‑managed room setups.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) services for IT assets, including mobile phones, scanners and printers.
• Deliver VIP, high‑touch support and manage after‑hours meetings or events as required.
• Execute L1 network troubleshooting (DHCP, DNS, LAN connectivity) and support Office 365.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors for hardware repairs, spare replacement and technical issue resolution.
• Label racks, mount or move servers, and perform hands‑and‑feet tasks on physical servers, network devices and storage equipment.
• Document incidents, problems and resolutions for the knowledge base while adhering to SLA commitments.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on‑site.
• Good knowledge of DHCP, DNS and basic LAN networking.
• Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments.
• Willingness to handle after‑hours and event‑related support.
• Hands‑on attitude; service‑desk‑only profiles are not suitable.
