Inventory Accountant

About the role

Join Brunswick Marine’s European shared service centre as an Inventory Accountant. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day accounting operations related to inventory across the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with Brunswick’s accounting policies and supporting accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and correct inventory suspended movements and perform regular inventory valuations and revaluations.
• Prepare revenue recognition entries at month‑end and ensure proper cut‑off.
• Execute cycle‑count processes, validate completeness, and report quarterly and yearly results.
• Reconcile inventory accounts, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and IT to maintain clean inventory records.
• Manage SOX controls for inventory, including documentation, excess and obsolescence reserve reviews, and yearly consignment confirmations.
• Support internal and external audits, and provide data for insurance broker declarations.
• Participate in business process documentation, internal control validation, and continuous improvement of inventory processes.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of post‑graduate accounting experience, preferably with an inventory focus.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
