About the role
The International Sales Manager – Trading & Industry will be responsible for selling by‑products to international trading and industrial markets for a leading European FMCG food group. The role focuses on achieving revenue and profitability targets through effective sales strategies, strong customer relationships, and the identification of new market opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Implement the company’s sales policy and translate strategy into budgets, forecasts and cost estimates.
- Monitor market developments, customer needs and competitor activities.
- Analyse sales figures, turnover, margins and profitability; adjust commercial action plans as needed.
- Prepare and present periodic reports on commercial results and market trends.
- Drive sales within assigned international market segments, maintaining existing accounts and acquiring new business.
- Advise customers on pricing, promotions and order management; negotiate commercial agreements within established margins.
- Provide expert product advice, promotional opportunities and ongoing commercial support to build long‑term, trust‑based relationships.
- Identify relevant market trends, industry developments and competitor activities.
Required profile
- Strong commercial mindset with proven analytical capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience in international sales environments.
- Ability to travel frequently for customer visits and international trade fairs.
- Proactive approach to market and competitor analysis.
