International Sales Manager – Trading & Industry (FMCG)

About the role

The International Sales Manager – Trading & Industry will lead the sale of by‑products to global trading and industrial markets for a leading European FMCG food group. You will be responsible for achieving revenue and profitability targets by shaping sales strategies, nurturing customer relationships, and uncovering new market opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the company’s sales policy and monitor market developments, customer needs, and competitor activities.
• Translate sales strategy into target‑oriented budgets, forecasts and cost estimates.
• Analyse sales figures, track turnover, margins and profitability, and adjust commercial action plans as needed.
• Prepare and present periodic reports on commercial results, market trends and category performance.
• Drive sales within assigned international market segments, maintaining existing accounts and acquiring new business.
• Advise customers on pricing, promotions and order management; negotiate commercial agreements within established margins.
• Provide expert product application advice, promotional opportunities and ongoing commercial support.
• Build sustainable, long‑term, trust‑based relationships to strengthen customer satisfaction and strategic partnerships.

Required profile

• Strong commercial mindset with proven ability to meet sales targets.
• Analytical capabilities to interpret market data and financial results.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience in international sales of food‑industry by‑products or FMCG goods.
• Willingness to travel frequently and represent the company at trade fairs.
