Internal Auditor (Hybrid, International Travel)

About the role

Join Solvay’s Internal Audit team of seven professionals reporting directly to the CFO and Audit Committee. You will audit corporate functions and worldwide manufacturing sites, contributing to global operational insights and supporting the Group’s performance and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Understand Solvay’s activities and inherent operational risks.
• Identify risks in audited entities or processes and define the audit approach.
• Ensure application of Solvay’s policies and procedures.
• Perform tests to verify the effectiveness of risk‑mitigating controls.
• Assess potential risks linked to inefficient or missing processes.
• Issue value‑adding recommendations to the Group.
• Share best practices across the organisation.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or Science (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Big 4 external audit or internal audit, or at least 4 years in operational roles such as finance, controlling, supply chain or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication, able to interact at all levels.
• Fluent English; additional languages (French, Portuguese, Spanish, German) are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally (20‑30%).
