Interim Operations Manager – Industrial Packaging

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Operations Manager for an industrial packaging site in the Brussels–Leuven area. The role supports the Plant Manager in day‑to‑day production management and prepares a major production expansion slated for early 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Own production planning and daily operational execution, monitoring safety, quality, efficiency and productivity.
• Identify operational issues, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate closely with production, quality, maintenance, HR and plant leadership.
• Lead and develop shift and team leaders, fostering a performance‑oriented shop‑floor culture.
• Support the preparation and implementation of a new production line, ensuring operational readiness.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in industrial operations, production management or site leadership.
• Proven track record managing production teams in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and operational performance metrics.
