Inspector – Team Leader (Reserve List)

About the role

The Inspector – Team Leader supervises the Headquarters Security Force (HQSF) at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, leading senior agents, agents and external contractors. The role ensures continuous protection of the HQ, its personnel, information and assets, operating under shift schedules and occasional short‑notice deployments abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all HQSF activities and ensure compliance with NATO security standards, processes and training.
• Lead the on‑duty security team, coordinating senior agents, agents and contractors.
• Maintain situational awareness and readiness of security operations for the NATO HQ.
• Work flexible shift patterns, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Be prepared for rapid deployment to overseas missions as required.

Required profile

• Educational qualification equivalent to higher secondary level.
• Minimum 6 years experience as a Team Leader in a security, police, military or similar force, with middle‑management responsibilities in a multicultural environment.
• Proven ability to operate firearms and less‑lethal force equipment, passing regular shooting, physical and medical tests.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to lead diverse teams.
