Innovation Consultant – R&D Strategy & Tax Optimization

About the role

Join a leading business performance consultancy that operates in more than 15 countries and manages thousands of R&D and innovation projects each year. As an Innovation Consultant you will act as a trusted advisor, helping enterprise‑level clients optimise their R&D strategy, tax position and access to subsidies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess clients' current R&D situation and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Conduct detailed fiscal analyses and evaluate tax credits, grants and subsidy programmes.
• Manage projects from intake through presentation and implementation, ensuring timely delivery.
• Liaise with public authorities such as BELSPO and tax administrations on behalf of clients.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary account manager during the implementation phase, maintaining long‑term client relationships.

Required profile

• 2–10 years of experience in a consulting role focused on R&D, tax or innovation.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Detail‑oriented challenger mindset with a strong analytical approach.
