In‑house M&A Tax Manager

About the role

The M&A Tax Manager will serve as the Group’s internal expert on all tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestments and restructurings. Working closely with finance, legal, strategy and operations teams, the role ensures tax considerations are embedded early and throughout each transaction.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the single point of accountability for tax matters in M&A and internal restructuring deals.
• Lead and review tax due‑diligence, challenge external advisors and translate findings into pragmatic recommendations.
• Advise on tax‑efficient deal, financing and legal structuring across borders.
• Assess impacts on corporate tax, deferred tax, transfer pricing, VAT, withholding tax and compliance.
• Collaborate with project teams to embed tax insights upstream and communicate risks to non‑tax stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal tax specialists (corporate tax, VAT, TP, compliance) to maintain a consistent tax view.
• Manage external advisors, ensuring quality, timelines and cost discipline.
• Support post‑deal integration, including entity rationalisation and operational tax set‑up.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of experience in M&A or international tax, gained in a Big 4, law firm or in‑house environment.
• Strong knowledge of international corporate tax, cross‑border structuring and transfer pricing.
• Ability to work as a subject‑matter expert within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with a balance of technical rigour and business practicality.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex tax issues to non‑tax audiences.
