Human Resources Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to support HR, finance and administration activities in close partnership with the HR Director. Based in Antwerp, you will help ensure compliance with local employment laws, promote an inclusive workplace and contribute to international HR projects within the transport and logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in and lead international HR projects and produce monthly HR reports.
• Assist with engagement surveys, performance review cycles and coordinate external training.
• Manage international recruitment, agency liaison, offers, onboarding, off‑boarding and compliance with local regulations.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing invoices and support financial processing.
• Handle sickness processes for the Netherlands, support employee engagement initiatives, prepare contracts and organise personnel events and communications.
• Support monitoring and development of international compensation and benefits programmes.
• Update HR policies to align with Dutch and global labour regulations.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with cultural awareness.
• Discreet, reliable and results‑oriented with a solid work ethic.
• HBO or WO degree in Human Resources (preferred).
• Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages (French, German) are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably with international exposure.
• Basic knowledge of Dutch employment law; broader international knowledge is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP (preferred).
