HSE Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to lead health, safety and environmental initiatives on a construction site. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with Belgian HSE regulations and project‑specific safety standards while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the on‑site Health, Safety & Environmental Management System.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, risk assessments and identify hazards.
• Monitor contractor activities to guarantee adherence to HSE requirements.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and training sessions.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses, producing detailed reports.
• Track and report HSE KPIs to project management.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices at all times.
• Support emergency preparedness and response planning.
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HSE Advisor on construction projects (data‑centre experience is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of Belgian HSE regulations.
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
