About the role
Accenture is looking for a Dutch‑speaking HR Generalist to support a business unit based in the Ghent area, with regular presence in the Brussels office. You will be the primary HR contact for employees and leaders, driving the full employee lifecycle and ensuring compliance with local Belgian regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Own the local HR agenda and manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding to departure.
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries on vacation, leave of absence, policies and related matters.
- Advise leadership on local HR strategy, people topics and potential challenges.
- Coordinate HR administration, legal documentation and payroll with external vendors.
- Handle employee‑relations issues, including ethics, compliance, safe work environments, long‑term illness cases and other sensitive matters.
- Collaborate with Compensation & Benefits on plans and initiatives.
- Maintain HR data, provide analytics and trends to support decision‑making.
- Draft, maintain and implement HR policies and regulations across the organization.
Required profile
- 2‑4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Fluent in Dutch and proficient in English.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Ability to advise and influence senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work on‑site near Ghent and in Brussels a few days per week.
