Health Systems and Economics Integration Consultant

About the role

Médecins du Monde Belgium is seeking an external consultant to strengthen the integration of health‑systems and health‑economics approaches across its programmes. The consultant will work with internal teams to embed these perspectives in analysis, design, monitoring and strategic development.

Key responsibilities

• Support the incorporation of health‑systems thinking and health‑economics analysis into project cycles.
• Assist in designing tools and methodologies that combine both approaches.
• Provide guidance on monitoring indicators that reflect system‑wide and economic dimensions.
• Facilitate capacity‑building workshops for staff on the use of integrated frameworks.
• Contribute to strategic documents that promote universal, inclusive health coverage.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health‑systems research or health‑economics, preferably within an NGO or international development context.
• Strong background in program or project management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
