Head of Public Affairs – Belgium

About the role

Alan is looking for a Head of Public Affairs to lead its regulatory and policy agenda in Belgium. The role sits at the intersection of healthcare, insurance and technology, and will shape how the company influences legislation and public policy to improve preventive health services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead flagship regulatory projects that enable Alan’s expansion and value proposition in Belgium and across Europe.
• Navigate and influence complex Belgian federal and regional health legislation, as well as EU‑level policy discussions.
• Build and maintain relationships with health ministers, parliamentary committees, civil servants, medical associations and digital‑health stakeholders.
• Identify barriers to innovation, propose regulatory changes and develop strategic policy roadmaps.
• Represent Alan in policy consultations, regulatory hearings and public‑sector partnerships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public affairs, government relations or regulatory affairs within the Belgian healthcare sector.
• Strong network with Belgian health ministries, parliamentary bodies and industry federations.
• Ability to work autonomously, drive change and translate policy outcomes into business strategy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
