Group Quarry Engineer

About the role

The Group Quarry Engineer will support the definition, standardisation and monitoring of quarry and aggregates performance across Cementir Holding’s Business Units. Based at Compagnie des Ciments Belges in Gaurain‑Ramecroix, the role reports to the Group Quarry & Aggregates Director in Rome and works closely with local quarry teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor KPIs for operational efficiency, cost, resource utilisation and environmental performance of mining and aggregate operations.
• Provide actionable recommendations to optimise OPEX, improve productivity and support the prioritisation of improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify best practices, remove bottlenecks and enhance throughput.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, automation and digital tools to improve safety, operations management and performance reporting.
• Assist local teams in CAPEX feasibility studies, business case development and ensure alignment with Group targets.
• Monitor and support strategic initiatives, including CAPEX implementation, to secure sustainable raw material resources.
• Contribute to industrial roadmaps, plans and budgets, ensuring risks and opportunities are clearly identified.
