Group Head of Sustainability

About the role

The Group Head of Sustainability will define and drive BESIX Group’s sustainability ambition at the highest level, ensuring that sustainability is fully embedded in business strategy, decision‑making and operations across all geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously refine a Group‑wide sustainability strategy aligned with growth ambitions and market dynamics.
• Monitor trends, regulatory developments and emerging risks, establishing KPIs, dashboards and reporting mechanisms for executive decision‑making.
• Integrate sustainability into governance, enterprise risk management and capital allocation frameworks.
• Lead cultural transformation, embedding sustainability from the boardroom to project execution and designing training programmes for leadership and operational teams.
• Build and lead a global sustainability network across regions and business units, developing incentive structures linked to sustainability outcomes.
• Ensure full compliance with CSRD and other relevant frameworks, including double materiality, data governance, audit readiness and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in sustainability or ESG within a multinational organization.
• Deep understanding of European and international sustainability regulations, including CSRD.
• Ability to advise executive leadership and influence board‑level decisions.
• Strong track record of embedding sustainability into corporate strategy and operations.
