Group Finance Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Group Finance Controller to act as a trusted business partner across CFE’s diverse portfolio. The role combines deep financial expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset, supporting strategic decisions and driving digital transformation in a decentralized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the digitalisation of finance processes, promoting data analytics, automation and AI solutions.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to enhance reporting tools, data flows and management dashboards.
• Conduct strategic deep‑dive analyses on under‑performing projects, subsidiaries or business situations requiring rapid intervention.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting and performance analysis for the Group.
• Partner with Business Units to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities and improve decision‑making.
• Ensure the quality, consistency and reliability of financial and operational data across the organisation.
• Prepare and present high‑level analyses, recommendations and executive reports to the Director Finance & Controlling and Group CFO.
• Support M&A, divestments and other growth initiatives through financial analysis and due diligence.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience, preferably combining Big Four and corporate finance roles.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand operational challenges and propose actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High degree of autonomy, adaptability and resilience in fast‑changing environments.
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English.

Required skills

• Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting and IFRS reporting.
• Digital‑native mindset with a genuine interest in automation, AI and data‑driven decision‑making.
