Global Production and Materials Demand Planner

About the role

The Global Production & Materials Demand Planner will drive demand forecasting, inventory management and component availability for clinical supply chain sites worldwide. This role ensures that packaging components are available on time to meet global production schedules and supports continuous improvement across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast, purchase and manage inventory of packaging components to guarantee on‑time production.
• Execute site‑to‑site transfers of components when required.
• Develop processes that align packaging component forecasts with packed kit and primary pack forecasts.
• Maintain balanced forecasts for primary and secondary clinical packaging, highlighting conflicts early.
• Create and monitor customer‑service metrics for third‑party suppliers.
• Lead vendor complaints, approve root‑cause analyses and corrective‑action reports.
• Assess vendor capabilities and resolve queries with vendors and finance.
• Represent packaging operations in network capacity, demand review and pre‑supply‑chain board forums.
• Identify and own process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply‑chain planning and scheduling (rough‑cut and finite).
• Strong background in inventory management, procurement and handling invoice queries.
• Hands‑on experience working directly with third‑party suppliers.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; experience building Power BI dashboards is a plus.
• Competence with MRP and forecasting systems.
• Project‑management experience and ability to deliver results.
