General & Tax Accountant (Aerospace)

About the role

We are looking for a General & Tax Accountant to join SABCA’s Brussels office, supporting the financial backbone of a leading aerospace company. The role involves handling all aspects of general accounting and tax compliance while ensuring data reliability and adherence to Belgian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end general accounting, including daily entries, bank transactions, accruals and inter‑company accounts.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closings and prepare financial statements in line with BEGAAP.
• Handle VAT filings and assist with corporate income tax (ISOC) declarations.
• Monitor, analyse and reconcile general‑ledger accounts and oversee fixed‑asset accounting and depreciation.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to internal control improvements.
• Ensure compliance with EN9100 quality and ISO 14001 environmental standards, perform self‑checks and report risks.
• Share knowledge with team members and promote a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in general accounting and corporate taxation.
• Fluent French, professional proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, high autonomy and proven reliability.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of general accounting, VAT, corporate income tax (ISOC) and BEGAAP standards.
• Proficiency with an ERP system, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial reporting.
