Full Stack Engineer – Freelance, Hybrid, Brussels

About the role

We are looking for a Full‑Stack Engineer to join our team building a modern, data‑intensive web platform. You will own features end‑to‑end, from API design to responsive front‑end interfaces, working in a clean, well‑structured codebase where engineering quality matters.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python/Django APIs.
• Implement responsive user interfaces using React, TypeScript and Vite.
• Write complex PostgreSQL queries and model data effectively.
• Manage background jobs with Celery or similar tools.
• Set up and maintain Docker containers and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
• Ensure code quality through testing (Pytest) and adherence to OpenAPI standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with Python/Django building well‑tested APIs.
• 3+ years of experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, including complex queries and data modeling.
• Experience with background job processing (Celery or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of REST API design and OpenAPI.
• Comfortable with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Focus on clean code, testing, and maintainability.
