Frontend/Backend GIS Developer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Frontend/Backend GIS Developer to join Orange’s IT department in Belgium. The position is based in Brussels or Charleroi and involves developing and maintaining GIS applications using open-source Java technologies and modern web frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain GIS applications based on open-source Java technologies and web frontend frameworks.
• Design, deploy and manage mapping services with GeoServer, PostGIS and Oracle Spatial.
• Create dashboards and interactive applications using R/Shiny.
• Set up development and deployment environments using Docker.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate mapping requirements into robust technical solutions.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in frontend and backend development.
• Team player with customer-oriented attitude.
• Fluent in French and English.
