Frontend / Design Engineer

About the role

Bond is looking for a Frontend / Design Engineer to own every pixel of its AI‑powered product experience. You will shape the look, feel and interaction of a Next.js based platform that serves busy executives, working closely with the founders from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end development of Bond’s frontend, a Next.js 15 application built with React 19, Tailwind v4 and Framer Motion.
• Design, implement and animate UI components across all screen sizes, ensuring a magical and responsive experience.
• Build and polish the AI chat interface (BondBot), handling token‑by‑token streaming, real‑time tool activity, voice input visualisation and conversation history.
• Maintain and extend the hand‑rolled real‑time synchronization layer based on Server‑Sent Events, optimistic updates and sync‑on‑focus.
• Create interaction patterns such as drag‑and‑drop todo triage, Eisenhower matrix and inline editing that respect executive time.

Required profile

• Strong front‑end engineering background with a passion for pixel‑perfect design.
• Experience delivering complex, real‑time web applications.
• Comfortable collaborating directly with founders and taking ownership of a product surface.
• Attention to performance, animation smoothness and cross‑device consistency.
