Freelance OT Cybersecurity Engineer (Antwerp)

About the role

We are seeking a freelance OT Cybersecurity Engineer to join a major industrial site in Antwerp on a long‑term basis. The successful candidate will act as the local security expert, bridging IT and operational technology environments to ensure resilience and protect critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity standards across local industrial networks.
• Serve as the primary security point of contact for engineering and operational teams.
• Monitor OT cybersecurity risks and incidents, providing clear reporting.
• Participate in local security audits, risk assessments, and incident‑response exercises.
• Support technical teams with security expertise on networks, servers, and virtualization.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity within enterprise or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of IT/OT infrastructure, including networks, Windows Server and virtualization.
• Experience with or strong interest in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and OT cybersecurity.
• Structured, analytical mindset with excellent stakeholder communication.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
