Freelance Data Analyst – Financial Services

About the role

We are seeking two freelance Data Analysts to support a major financial services client undergoing a large-scale merger and data transformation programme. The role involves data operations, reconciliation, reporting and vendor oversight in a hybrid environment (50% onsite).

Key responsibilities

• Perform data analysis, reconciliation and validation activities.
• Support data migration and operational reporting tasks.
• Monitor, maintain and improve data-quality controls.
• Collaborate with external data vendors and service providers.
• Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies and issues.
• Work closely with business and technical teams within an Agile framework.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Structured, organised and proactive approach.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• SQL querying.
• Python programming.
• Alteryx (nice to have).
