Founding Center Director – Brussels

About the role

CIEE is seeking a dynamic leader to launch and manage its new Brussels Center. As the Founding Center Director, you will build the operation from the ground up, align it with global standards, and create a vibrant hub for international study and exchange.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the establishment of the Brussels Center, including legal entity formation, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Identify, secure, and manage partnerships with universities, internship providers, housing vendors, and service providers.
• Oversee facility selection, setup, and student housing solutions to ensure a smooth first‑cohort launch.
• Develop and manage academic programming, hire and mentor faculty, and produce course materials.
• Design and implement student services, including visa processing, orientation, emergency response, and health‑safety protocols.

Required profile

• Proven experience launching new centers or programs in an international education context.
• Strong leadership and team‑building skills with the ability to manage multi‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of legal, compliance, and operational requirements for overseas education sites.
• Experience developing academic curricula and managing faculty.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships.
