Flying Station Engineer

About the role

Brussels Airlines is seeking a Flying Station Engineer to join its Maintenance & Engineering team. The engineer will ensure the technical handling of aircraft during conveying flights to African destinations and at outstations, guaranteeing safe and timely return to Brussels.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany flights from the home‑base airport to all stops and back, providing technical assistance throughout the journey.
• Perform duties at African outstations, remaining on‑site for one or more consecutive days to support aircraft landing and departure.
• Execute routine inspections and verify required checks after maintenance or repair.
• Interpret technical issues, conduct troubleshooting, and advise technicians on corrective actions.
• Complete aircraft documentation, update technical logs in AMOS, and issue releases to service promptly.
• Ensure all activities comply with Brussels Airlines procedures, regulations and internal standards.

Required profile

• Strong aviation background with experience in aircraft technical support.
• Ability to work independently in remote locations and under time pressure.
• Good analytical skills for interpreting technical problems and logbook entries.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the AMOS maintenance management system.
• Competence in aircraft technical logbook handling and troubleshooting.
